EXAPT in the flexible CAD/CAM engineering chain at BHI

The successful CAD/CAM-use at Baker Hughes Inteq is determined by the special distinctness of the course from the solid model of the part up to the machining modelling with EXAPT for the production on highly-efficient NC machines. With the increasing distribution of solid systems this is an exciting theme. Solids alone do not really bring efficiency into the production, for it is required to create suitable technical and organisational basic conditions for an efficient engineering chain. It is set out which factors contribute to profitable surplus values in practice.

This theme is of great interest as the production fields are increasingly confronted with solid models from the run-up, escorted from exaggerated levels of expectations that often neglect the basic conditions of the production practice. The following report has appeared in the trade journal  Fertigung.
